AR Rahman unveils ‘Infinite Love’, a single after 15 years

Chennai, Dec 22 (): Music maestro AR Rahman has released a new music video ‘Infinite Love’, which is his first solo single in over 15 years. The single was released on 20th December 2012 a day prior to the predicted doomsday 21 December, 2012, to “instill faith and optimism in people.”

The single made in association with Reliance Foundation was unveiled at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai. On the same day, ‘Infinite Love’ was officially launched through iTunes and YouTube.

The music video has an inspiring song along with a short film that delivers a potent message about how love dissolves boundaries and brings people together. The main theme of the music video is individuals can bring out positive change in the world by tuning to one strong pure will. AR Rahman brings out this theme in his visually awesome stunning short film that traverses the globe.

Paul Boyd has directed the music video, which is choreographed by Longinus Fernandes, who was lauded for his work in 2012 Bollywood movie Barfi. Boyd took 20 days to shoot the video footage across four different countries, which features children from India, Hong Kong, Africa and USA.

With over 200 people working worldwide, for three months using CG visual effects and the 30 hours long footage, the music video was edited into a short film of seven minutes that has flawlessly highlighted their magical journey.

AR Rahman said in a statement that he liked to extend his deepest gratitude to Indian industrialist Mr Mukesh Ambani and his wife Mrs Nita Ambani for offering their determined support for this exclusive project, to bring it alive.

Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani said that they were delighted to have partnered with AR Rahman to spread this wonderful message of Infinite Love.

‘Infinite Love’ is AR Rahman’s first single in 15 years – just like an album. Besides, in 1997 he has done a non-film music “Vande Mataram”.
