London, Dec 19 (): The mobile phone leader Samsung announces another Galaxy smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Grand. The Galaxy Grand will be sold in two models 19080 and 19082 offering single and dual sim facility.
The smartphone has a 5” TFT LCD touchscreen with 480 X 800 pixel resolution. It runs on latest Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The smartphone is powered with 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB RAM. The device comes with an 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front facing camera which can provide 720p video calls.
It has an internal memory of 8 GB which can be expanded up to 64 GB through microSD card. The phone is powered with a powerful 2100 mAh battery. It also features Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSPA+ connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. The size of the smarphone is 143.55 mm X 76.9mm X 9.6 mm. The Grand weighs 162 gms, 30g more than the SIII.
The Galaxy Grand will also have Samsung exclusive customisations such as Direct Call and multi-window mode. The device is also loaded with Popup Video, Smart Alert, and S-Voice, which is Samsung’s voice-activated assistant. It is loaded with latest versions of Samsung Hubs to deliver the most popular games, movies and music.
It is armed with Google services such as Google Play, Gmail, Google Talk and the like. The dual sim model is dual active, which allows you to use multiple phone numbers at the same time, on the same phone.
