Chennai, Dec 12 (): Madras Talkies confirmed that the music of Kadal will be launched on December 17.
The audio rights of the film is taken by Sony Music, whereas Vairamuthu and his son Madhan Karky have written the lyrics while music is composed by Oscar award winner maestro A.R. Rahman.
Expectations about the audio launch of ‘Kadal’ are at a high, especially after AR Rahman launched the single number ‘Nenjukulle…’ during a show on MTV recently.
Creating excitement and huge expectations, the original version of the song was released on radio a few days back and another song ‘Elay Keechan’ is also released before the audio launch.
‘Elay Keechan’ in the voice of A R Rahman was released on December 10th at 10am on internet. The song features Gautham Karthik. The song is available across all leading platforms from December 10th, including radio, CRBT, YouTube and other digital platforms.
‘Kadal’ album would hold the fame of being the big album of 2012, with the track list including seven songs in total. The seven songs are — Nenjukulle, Chithirai Nila, Adiye, Moongil Thottam, Ale Keechan, Anbin Vaasalae and Magudi Magudi. Reports say ‘Kadal’ audio will be released in a grand event. The audio launch was initially scheduled on November 23rd and it has now been postponed to December 17th.
Kadal is a beautiful love story, which revolves around the troubles and lives of fishermen in Tamil Nadu. The movie is directed by ace director Mani Ratnam and stars Gautham Karthik (son of actor Karthik) and Thulasi (younger daughter of yesteryear actress Radha) in lead roles.
The other star cast include Arjun, Lakshmi Manchu, Thambi Ramaih and Pasupathy in vital roles. Rajeev Menon has handled the camera for Kadal while A. Sreekar Prasad is doing editing.
The release date is not yet confirmed, but is expected to hit the screens in the last quarter of the year or early 2013.
