2013 Range Rover to debut in India on Nov 30

New Delhi, Nov 29 (): The 2013 Range Rover that was launched to the global motoring press at the 2012 Paris Motor Show will make its India debut on November 30. Deliveries of the 2013 Range Rover will begin next year. The new Range Rover is expected to carry a price tag of INR 1.07 – 1.10 crore.

Range Rover, widely popular and among the best SUVs of the world, has undergone a lot of changes, though the company has not played with its original essence. Range Rover has an all-aluminium chassis that makes it lightweight thereby improving performance and economizing on fuel. By using an aluminium uni-body construction for the chassis, the weight of the Range Rover has reduced by almost 450 kilos which improves handling.

The fuel emissions are also reduced considerably. Wheelbase has been raised by 100 mm and an innovative air suspension system coupled with Terrain Response 2 makes it easier for one to traverse any type of terrain with ease.

The Range Rover would be launched both in petrol and diesel variant. Totally, there are three engine variants available for those who are opting to buy this vehicle. Engine specifications are: 4.4 liter V8 diesel, 3.0 liter V6 diesel and 5.0 liter V8 petrol.

The sedan has blind spot monitoring, closing vehicle sensing and reversing cameras. Plus there is the adjustable speed limiter device, surround camera system with T-junction view, trailer reverse and trailer hitch guidance and park assist which will be a hit with the women.

It has become much more luxurious inside, but offers a go-anywhere capability that other luxury sedans cannot even dream of. It comes with the new two-seat executive class seating package that ensures hassle free travelling experience. Inside, the new SUV comes fitted with the upgraded Terrain Response 2 system as well as a 29-speaker system.
