Hyderabad, Nov 22 (): Nagarjuna’s much-anticipated socio-fantasy movie Damarukam is scheduled to release on November 23, Friday. After the release of the film was postponed several times, Nagarjuna on Wednesday held a press conference to officially announce the revised release date.
Damarukam is the big budget movie in Akkineni Nagarjuna’s career and it has been under production for about two years. Besides Nagarjuna’s rocking performance, the Telugu movie has highlights of Devi Sri Prasad’s hit music and stunning visual effects covering 70 minutes in the movie.
The posters and the promo videos have created a lot of hype and curiosity among film goers who are badly waiting to watch the movie.
Earlier, Damarukam was planned to hit the screens on November 9, four days before the release of Son Of Sardar and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. As Damarukam was not released on that date, the makers of these Hindi movies breathed a sigh of relief, as they were worried about their business in the South Indian market as Damarukam would overpower their movies.
At the press conference, Nagarjuna said the producer of the film R. Venkat was a businessman. However, there was some miscalculation that headed to the mess associated with the movie. Nagarjuna praised Dasari Narayana Rao for the help he offered to solve this issue. He also praised Alankar Prasad and Shyam Prasad Reddy for their timely help in sorting out the issue.
Nagarjuna further added that the mess created has been a learning experience for him. This incident has taught him trust and patience. People in the film industry have clashes among themselves often, have differences, but when there happens a crisis the entire film industry comes to offer their help. Nagarjuna has also apologized to the media and his fans for the late release.
The film directed by Srinivas Reddy has high-octane graphics, which is promised to fascinate the audience. Anushka plays the lead lady role and Prakash Raj will be seen in an important role.
