Mumbai, Nov 15 (): As 86-year-old Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray’s health worsened on Thursday, his son Uddhav Thackeray has requested party-men not to lose hope and remain calm.
The Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray while talking to reporters said that though the party is facing a crisis due to his father’s health, it has the confidence to overcome all the tragedy.
The Sena chief who is on life support is critical, said the attending doctors. In the meantime a large number of Sena supporters started thronging outside ‘Matoshree’, the residence of Thackeray after information of the Sena chief‘s critical health condition spread all over the city.
Around 2:00 am in the midnight, a huge crowd assembled in front of ‘Matoshree’ and were difficult to control, said the police. The massive crowd came under control after the Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray interfered and requested the restless crowd to remain calm who started gathering from late Wednesday.
“Doctors are attending the Sena chief and we hope their efforts do not go waste. He has a strong will power and I am sure we will overcome the crisis,” said, Uddhav Thackeray to the supporters waiting outside ‘Matoshree’.
Uddhav gave the assurance that the Shiv Sena chief was gradually showing symptoms of response to the medical treatment and also insisted the crowd to cooperate with them by staying calm. In a short while after Uddhav’s words of assurance, a total of five thousand party workers who crowded in front of ‘Matoshree’ moved slowly.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachan and son Abhishek Bachchan came to visit the critically ill Thackeray last night at his bungalow, where security has been tightened all around the house.
As both Bachchans were trying to find a way to enter the house, their kurtas were torn and they had some cuts while trying to weave through the crowd. But,they are reported to be fine as the doctors at Matoshree attended to them immediately. Other Bollywood actors who visited the Sena chief at his residence were Sanjay Dutt and his wife Maanyata.
