Chetan Bhagat writes screenplay for Salman Khan film “Kick”

Mumbai, Oct 27 (): Chetan Bhagat, the famous novelist whose bestsellers 3 Mistakes of My Life, Five Point Someone, 2 States and One Night @ the Call Center have been made into Bollywood movies, would script the screenplay for Salman Khan’s next flick “Kick”.

At first, Salman Khan persuaded his close friend Sajid Nadiadwala to take the responsibilities in directing the Hindi remaking of Telugu blockbuster Kick (2009). Now Salman has convinced novelist Chetan Bhagat to write the screen play of the film.

Chetan Bhagat shared his new opportunity on his Twitter page. He wrote that he was happy to share with all that he would be writing screenplay of Salman Khan starring film ‘Kick’, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala.

The basic elements of the story would be taken from the Telugu flick. He said that he would be adapting the basic premise of Kick from the original Telugu super hit film, allowing a fair amount of changes. He said that there are huge expectations about the Salman movie.

Chetan Bhagat also shared the film’s storyline on his micro-blogging site saying Kick is all about a man who lives his life only for his kicks, which is a perfect recipe and powerful concept for this new Salman-Nadiadwala blockbuster.

Previously, Salman has acted in the film “Hello” modified from Chetan Bhagat’s One Night @ the Call Center. The author said he had known both Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman for a long while and had been waiting to work with them. He hoped this chance would be his better screenplay debut. The writer said he wishes to reach the masses and the day he would reach Indian readers he would consider himself as a true Indian writer.

Chetan said that he had also shares a good comfort level with Sajid Nadiadwala. Sajid has a huge vision on the new flick Kick and Chetan hopes to make Sajid’s vision come true.
