New Delhi, Sep 21 (): One of the leading car manufacturers of India – Mahindra & Mahindra launched its cheapest and small vehicle Quanto,with its price starting from Rs. 5.82 lakhs.
Quanto, which is shorter than 4 meters, benefiting from the lower excise duties is a good bet for the customers.
The company had priced Quanto at Rs 5.82 lakhs for the model C2 trim, which is the basic model; the model C4 is priced at Rs.6.35 lakhs, the model C6 for Rs.6.86 lakhs and the high-end C8 is priced at Rs 7.36 lakhs ex-Thane.
The Quanto, SUV is motorized by a 1493 cc, twin-turbo mCR100 diesel engine, makes peak power of 100 bhp at 3750 rpm and impressive torque of 240 Nm at 1600-2800 rpm. The vehicle has five speed gear box with manual transmission. The Quanto SUV runs a mileage of 17.2 kilometers for one litre of diesel in test-driving conditions.
It is featured with a third row to accommodate 7 passengers, and the third row can be folded up to accommodate additional luggage. The space inside the vehicle is well planned keeping in mind the comfort of the passengers.
The SUV drives on 15 inch wheels and is rear wheel driven. It has two airbags in the front, ABS, engine immobilizer and reverse sensors on the top end C8 variant. It meets BS4 emission norms level in all cities. The ground clearance of the vehicle is 180mm. It has a unique rear look with the spare wheel mounted on tail door.
It is built with granite theme dashboard, ample utility spaces like-5 bottle holders, 2-DIN music system, snack trays and under seat storage. The Quanto has six colour options, Fiery Black, Diamond White, Java Brown, Toreador Red, Rocky Beige, and Mist Silver.
The company plans to sell 1,500-2,000 Quantos a year. The company also plans to export Quanto SUV vehicle to South Africa and Europe.
With all these features at a low cost, Quanto will definitely outpace other rivals.
