India set Pakistan 186 to win in pre-World Twenty20 friendly

Colombo, Sep.17 (ANI): India has set Pakistan 186 runs to win a pre-World Twenty20 fixture.

India had Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to thank for their score of 185 for the loss of three wickets. Kohli scored an unbeaten 75 with seven boundaries and two sixes, while Sharma chipped in with 56 with six boundaries and two sixes. The two had a 127-run partnership.

India, which won the toss and elected to bat, lost their first wicket at the score of 41, when Gautam Gambhir was bowled by Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul for his individual score of ten. Next to go was Virender Sehwag for 26, when the score read 45. Sehwag hit four boundaries and a six in his knock.

Rohit Sharma was bowled by off-spinner Saeed Ajmal when the score was 172. Ajmal had earlier claimed the wicket of Sehwag as well.

Thereafter, Kohli and Yuvraj Singh (unbeaten on four) took the score to 185.

At the time of the filing of this report, Pakistan had replied with 30 for one of 3.1 overs. Mohammad Hafeez batting on 17 and Imran Nazir had fallen to Ravichandran Ashwin for 13 respectively. (ANI)
