London, Sep 15 (): The royal couple, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and William are distraught after a magazine from France published Kate’s topless photos.
A weekly showed five-pages full of Middleton photos, relaxing topless on a balcony with Prince William in a 19th century hunting lodge in southern France. The lodge is owned by son of late Princess Margaret.
The pictures are very grainy and it appears to have been snapped with long camera lens when the couple were on their vacation at a private estate in southern France.
The latest furore comes just three weeks later when the royal family of Britain was caught in a media furore over the images of Prince Harry, William’s younger brother, who was partying naked with a few girls in Las Vegas hotel room.
The Sun, Rupert Murdoch’s Britain’s top-selling newspaper was the only British newspaper to print the mobile phone nude photos of Prince Harry, William’s brother Prince Harry last month, saying publication was in public interest.
But this time, The Sun, said it will not be printing the photos of Kate which were printed by the French magazine “Closer.” Dominic Mahon, the magazine’s editor, said The Sun magazine has no purpose of opening royal couple’s privacy.
Mohan argued the photos of Kate Middleton taken during a holiday in southern France could not be at any time or any way compared to photos of naked Prince Harry taken at a game of strip billiards in Las Vegas.
Lloyd Embley, the editor of Daily Mirror, The Sun’s rival said last week the paper was given similar images of Kate but the newspaper chose not to publish them.
The royal couple are now on a tour in Southeast Asia. When they learnt of the news about the topless photos published in the magazine while touring in Malaysia, they were sad and angry that their privacy had been tampered with, a royal source said, adding that the pictures published were assumed to be genuine.
