Mumbai, Sep 10 (): The Hindi version of renowned director Rajamouli’s recent hit film, Eega is named “Makhi” and is releasing on October 12, during the Dussera holidays. The release date and the name of the film was confirmed by Rajamouli. Makhi will be the official Bollywood debut of director Rajamouli.
The movie, which was released in Telugu as “Eega” and in Tamil as “Naan Ee”, received a lot of appreciation from film critics and made wonders at Indian box office as well as international markets. The movie was also dubbed in Malayalam in the name, “Eecha”.
The makers of the movie Sai Korrapati and Suresh Babu initially had plans of releasing the Hindi movie in 3D. But, now they are releasing the Hindi version in regular format. If it had to be released in 3D, it would take a longer time for its procedures and the film would be released only in the month of December. Thus, the idea of releasing this special effects fantasy film in 3D has been dropped.
Eega stars Nani, Samantha and Sudeep in lead roles. MM Keeravani has composed the music for the movie while the camera has been handled by KK Senthil Kumar. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao has done perfect editing.
On hearing the release date of the Hindi version movie, actor Sudeep said that he was very excited to see the movie in Hindi. He said the director SS Rajamouli has himself confirmed the release date of the movie as October 12. As the movie releases on Dussera holidays, he feels the movie will have a great response.
Eega collected Rs 17 crores on its opening day. The worldwide box office collection till July is Rs 115 crores. The film has successfully completed its 50 days on August 24.
After this unexpected and awesome victory of Eega, the team behind the movie and makers have plans of making a sequel to the movie.
