Srinagar, Sep 4 (): Shahrukh Khan, who is shooting in Kashmir’s Gulmarg town has revealed to his fans via twitter that he spent Monday night in the same hotel and same room where Raj Kapoor shot the famous song Hum tum ek kamre mein band ho for his super hit teenage romance movie Bobby in 1973.
Superstar SRK is shooting in Gulmarg, Kashmir for Yash Chopra’s untitled film along with Anushka Sharma. He wrote to his fans on the widely used microblogging site Twitter on Tuesday morning, “I am staying in 305, the room where ‘hum tum ek kamre mein band ho’ was shot in ‘Bobby’. Feels sweet… now just to try and lose the keys… ha ha.”
Legendary actor Raj Kapoor shot the famous romantic song for his super hit teenage romance movie “Bobby” in 1973 starring his son Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. The hut where the old famous song was shot is a part of Hotel Highland Park in Gulmarg where SRK is staying.
Earlier, on Friday SRK tweeted, “Slept for 10 hours after a long time. God I feel rested… even my beard seems fresh”. The actor finds him calm and peaceful in the Kashmir valley.
A source said Shahrukh Khan flew to Gulmarg on Monday in a helicopter from Pahalgam to complete the remaining part of his shooting schedule.
On Wednesday evening, Shahrukh is returning to summer capital Srinagar, according to Nazir Bakshi, owner of Shiraz Travels, which has organised the film’s shooting in the valley. He said the actor would be holding a half-hour interaction with the press in Srinagar on Sep 6 before taking a flight out of the Valley.
In the untitled movie, Shahrukh Khan is playing the role of an army officer Samar. Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma are the lead lady roles in the movie.
