Hyderabad, Sep 2 (): Balakrishna has made a power packed entry with Srimannarayana, which has received very good response at the Box Office in India as well as abroad. The movie has collected in Rs 8.65 crores at the worldwide Box Office on first day.
Reports say, the film has surpassed the collection record of Balayya’s previous release Adhinayakudu, which was released earlier this year. Adhinayakudu was released on June 1, 2012 and that movie too had got good opening at the Box Office. The movie had collected Rs 7.2 crores on the first day of its release.
The first day collection of Srimannarayana is very close to Allu Arjun’s recent release Julayi, which had grossed Rs 9+ crore on day 1.
Srimannarayana has received mixed reviews from film critics. Critics say that in the movie, Balakrishna does not appear in his usual way and director Ravikumar Chavali has diverted from his usual way and tried to depict him a brand new way. The word of mouth is also good and likely to its business take forward on the following days.
The movie was released in more than 1000 screens throughout the world on August 30th. There was not much publicity or promotions done before the release of the movie, but still the collections of the film are good at box-office. So, the producers of the film are extremely happy with the movie collections.
The movie registered 80% to 100% occupancy in single screens, while it had an above average response at multiplexes.
In the movie, Balakrishna saves a lady journalist from thugs. The actor looks good as Srimannarayana. Parvati Melton suits well to her character as a TV channel reporter. Balayya’s typical punch dialogues like “Baadadaaniki bio data denikiraa” keeps fans entertained all through the movie.
