Jamnagar (Gujarat), Aug 31 (National): A day after two Mi-17 choppers crashed mid-air, killing nine IAF personnel, Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne flew down to Jamnagar airbase, here on Friday and met the families of the crash victims. .
The Air Chief, who took over as the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee, earlier in the day, was here to meet the pilots, technicians and ground crew at the base and reassured them to continue with their mission.
Interacting with them, he acknowledged the fine job being done by the aircrew and technicians and urged them to continue to do so with grit and determination, while maintaining high standards of efficiency with adequate margins of operational safety.
The Air Chief also expressed condolences on behalf of the IAF to the bereaved members of the families and assured them of the complete support from the IAF. (ANI)
