London, Aug 29 (ANI): The tearful father of murdered Indian-origin bride Anni Dewani examined his daughter’s mobile phone, bracelet and watch, which she had with her when she was killed.
Vinod Hindocha wiped off his tears as he examined items of evidence at the trial of one of her alleged killers.
Hindocha was accompanied by Anni’s cousin Nishma Hindocha to the Cape Town court where one of the men involved, who has already confessed, pointed the finger at another alleged killer.
The South African ‘hitman’ Mziwamadoda Qwabe, who killed Anni in a honeymoon hijack, told how he wore yellow Marigold-type rubber gloves during the bride’s murder, The Daily Mail reports.
Qwabe wore the bright rubber kitchen gloves as he drove Anni’s commandeered taxi at high speed through the darkened township roads.
Qwabe, 27, appeared in court as a witness against Xolile Mngeni, who is alleged to be his partner in crime.
Anni, 28, and her husband Shiren, who is the alleged mastermind of the plot, were hijacked on the fifth day of their honeymoon in Cape Town.
After stealing all their valuables, the two hijackers permitted Shrien to leave the car.
Anni was later found shot dead in the car. (ANI)
