Hyderabad, Aug 25 (): Allu Arjun’s Julayi has crossed the 40 crore mark in the 2nd week of the release. Allu Arjun becomes the fourth Telugu hero and third hero in mega family to do so after Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan.
Julayi was released on August 9 and it collected over Rs. 6 crore in Andhra Pradesh on the first day of its release. The latest box office collection reports say that Julayi has grossed around 32 crores in India in 2 weeks while it collected more than 800,000 USD in the US. So, Julayi has entered into the top 5 films league in Tollywood in terms of collections.
Arjun said the movie had all the elements to become a super hit. The director, Trivikram Srinivas, Devi Prasad, who has done the music and other technician’s efforts, has come out with some brilliant stuff. The hero said he just had to play his part and the film was made with a charming combination.
The star is looking for a big break in Tamil. He wishes to explore his options in Tamil as well as Malayalam.
Today, Allu is one among the highly-paid actors in the Telugu industry with ten of his 11 movies dubbed into Malayalam — something that has not only earned him a firm foothold in Malayali hearts, but also the title Mallu Arjun. He was delighted at the way the dubbed version of his eleventh movie, Julayi, is gaining acceptance.
Last Thursday, when Allu Arjun went to Kochi, to promote his latest film Gajapokkiri (Malayalam version of his Telugu blockbuster Julayi), the Telugu actor said he is indebted to the crowds in Kerala for accepting him as one of “their own heroes”. Gajapokkiri, which released last week, has already received good response with cash collecting in a fast pace.
