New Delhi, Aug 22 () : Toronto-based Conquest Vehicles’ popular Knight XV, an armoured, hand-built SUV, has launched Evade in India. It is the costliest SUV available in India with price tag of Rs 8.5 crores inclusive of all duties.

The vehicle is driven by a 6.8-litre engine whose output is 400 Bhp of power at 2215 Nm of torque.

The Evade is a six-seater with 400 cubic feet cabin space of 400 cubic feet, in a limousine-like arrangement, the second and third rows facing each other.

Evade comes with a retractable flat screen television, three layer sun roofs, roof-mounted searchlights with joystick-controlled and even a night-vision camera.

Diesel and petrol options are available in India which should be available by the end of the year. Stylish body, designer headlamps and sleekly wrap-around tail lamps are its other attractions while the exterior of the SUV has narrower fender flares and styled grille.

To make secure entry and exit through the backside of the vehicle, the company engineers have added a third tandem sunroof and a wider back-door. Military inspired interior design Evade in combination with highly spacious cabin space of over 400 cubic feet makes it a luxury.

President, Conquest Vehicles Mr. William Maizlin speaking on the Evade’s launch in the Indian market, said Evade is to set a new standard in terms of pushing engineering to design boundaries incorporating new user experiences and without compromising the key highlight design features offered by their armored Knight XV.

Meanwhile, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) the leading Utility Vehicle manufacturer has three new launches namely Reva NXR, Mini Xylo compact Sports Utility Vehicle and Ssangyong Rexton SUV.
