Samsung announces launch of dual-SIM Galaxy S Duos

Seoul, Aug 20 (): Samsung has announced the new addition to its Galaxy smartphone lineup, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos. This will be expected to hit the European market by September this year and will reach other countries soon after.

The Galaxy S DUOS looks like it the earlier model of Galaxy S III but has space for two SIMs. The Galaxy model is mostly meant for emerging markets that prefer cheaper mobile phones. ‘Dual SIM Always on’ feature allows you to receive calls on one SIM number while taking a call from the other, ensuring that you can manage both personal and work commitments without ever missing a call. The multi-SIM capability is targeted at emerging markets like India where different prepaid SIMs are used to handle different types of calls.

The Galaxy S Duos sports Android 4.0, 4-inch WVGA display, 1GHz processor, 5 MP camera, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal storage can be expanded up to 32 GB using a micro SD card and 1500 mAh battery. For connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB 2.0.

The device comes preloaded with Samsung’s ChatOn communication services which allows for easy instant messaging, group chatting, and content sharing. The smartphone includes stunning graphics and upgraded menu systems for easier browsing and navigation. It has rounded edges and smooth ceramic-like finish give it a classy, sophisticated appearance.
