Mumbai, Aug 14 (): The winner of the reality show “Dance India Dance Li’l Masters 2″, Faisal Khan, whose father is an auto rickshaw driver, wants to buy his dad his own rickshaw.
Faisal Khan, the 13-year-old, won the “DID Li’l Masters Season 2″ on Sunday night held in Pune and walked away with a trophy and with Rs 10 lakh.
Faizal always wanted to dance and entered into the contest with just two years of formal training. The show has made him a primetime TV celebrity.
When describing about rehearsing for the finale, he said they took a day’s break after the second-last episode, and then started practice. They rehearsed all night, but he never got tired of dancing.
About the future, he said I want to buy my father his own auto rickshaw. I don’t want him to drive a rickshaw all his life. He himself hopes to become a choreographer someday. He added when he grew up, he wanted to be like Hrithik Roshan. He likes him as he is such a good dancer as well as an actor.
Bollywood super star Akshay Kumar came to the grand finale to encourage the finalists, where he shared the first look of his upcoming film “Oh My God”.
Geeta Kapur and Marzi Pestonji were in the judges’ panel, while Mithun Chakraborty was the Grand Master.
The final decision was made on the basis of public voting. Votes flooded in from across India and this season got the maximum number of votes – 5,61,00000.
Om Chetry, seven-year-old from Assam finished on the No 2 position. Rohan Parkale, 12, Indore boy came third and walked away with Rs 3 lakh.
Saumya Rai, 11, from Ranchi took the fourth place, and Jeet Das, seven-year-old from Kolkata came fifth. Both of them were rewarded Rs 1,00,000 each as prize money.
