New Delhi, Aug 14 (): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, and his supporters who were arrested by the Delhi police on Monday while taking a procession towards parliament, was freed later in the evening.

Ramdev and all his supporters were taken into custody after the police prevented them for continuing with their protest march. Ramdev was arrested near Ranjit Singh fly over by the police when he instructed thousands of his supporters to march towards parliament house in the noon.

Ramdev sitting in the top of the bus was being taken to Bawana jail, after his detention by Delhi Police.  Following the arrest resulted in a huge traffic jams in the areas including Daryaganj and Vikas Marg, said sources. Sitting on the top of the bus Ramdev said “I am ready to go where ever they take me. Our andolan has not yet finished, I will come back soon,” said Baba to his supporters.

Ramdev’s arrest in the capital has brought a kind of strength and energy that has been missing in the fasting venue where he sat on a dharna for four days on a hunger strike against corruption and black money. A total of 8,000 people were assembled at the Ambedkar Stadium in Central Delhi where Baba was believed to be brought after his arrest.

Notwithstanding the huge traffic jams, that caused serious concern about crowd control, the police had to set Baba free. Baba said to his followers “we have nearly won. The victory of a group is up to the people.”

All political parties except the congress today joined hands with Baba.” Don’t think you are alone Guruji, the whole NDA members are with you, added Gadkari in the morning.

Meanwhile, Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati, leaders of the two major parties in Uttar Pradesh have extended their support to Baba in his noble cause. “The SP is against black money. Whoever is fighting for bringing back black money will be supported by us,” said Yadav to reporters outside the parliament house.

Mayawati while responding to Baba’s agitation said “It is indeed the Congress government’s duty to decide with all parties and try to find a possible solution to bring back the black money. If this money is brought then the people living under poverty will start living a respectable life, “said Mayawati.
