Mumbai, July 27 (Truthdive): Popular game show, KBC, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 6, which would be hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan another time, will be back in its prime time slot, TV channel officials said on Tuesday.
Danish Khan, Sony Entertainment Television (SET) senior vice president and marketing head said the show would surely take the prime time. But, he could not tell the exact time as they are in discussion about choosing the right time. He is very certain that the show will be telecasted at a prime time slot.
Kaun Banega Crorepati had been scheduled for either 8.30 or 9 p.m. time slot so far and is planned to telecast by August end or by September.
Amitabh Bachchan, popularly known as Big B has been presenting various seasons of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He will again be the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati 2012 Season 6 as well. Khan said that they cannot think of anyone other than him in his place.
He said nobody would be an absolute match like Mr Bachchan. His appeal goes across all the age groups. He can relate and connect with people of all backgrounds. He has a brilliant command over the language – Hindi, English and many other local languages, his humbleness and genuineness these are the features that determines his popularity.
SET has launched several interesting promotions of the show. The promotions have been made in different parts of India with common people and junior artists.
KBC is the Indian form of the popular UK game show `Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ It was made in 2000 with Big B as the host and marked Bachchan’s TV debut.
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan hosted the third edition, but the Big B later returned to present the fourth and fifth seasons.
