Box Office Collection Report: Eega receives great first weekend collections

Mumbai, July 9 (): The Telugu movie Eega has received an overwhelming response and has received a tremendous opening weekend at the worldwide box office. The director of the Movie, SS Rajamouli has gone astonished with huge congratulatory message that he has been receiving on Twitter ever since the film hit the screens across the globe.

First weekend collection of the movie:-

July 6, Friday                     – 12 cr

July 7, Saturday                 – 11.5 cr

July 8, Sunday                    – 10.5 cr

Total weekend collection  – 34 cr approx

Overseas collection for the first weekend:-

Friday                                       – 5 Crores

Saturday                                  – 4.7 Crores

Sunday                                     – 3.5 Crores

Total overseas collection       – 13.2 cr approx

Eega is directed by SS Rajamouli. The movie is a sci-fi graphical extravaganza featuring Nani, Samantha and Sudeep in the lead roles. The movie released in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages has bagged hit talk and is on the anvil of creating history.

The special effects of the movie had created lot of curiosity among movie buffs days before its release. Once the movie was released last Friday, the movie received overwhelming response at the Box Office in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, where almost every theatre is running houseful.

The movie took a huge opening at the overseas box office too. Eega’s first day collections in overseas too was great as reports say that the film opened to full house in USA, UK and other areas.

Eega Movie breaks Gabber Singh records on first day and it is to be breaking all time Tollywood records. Eega was able to register massive collections due to its wide release.

Taran Adarsh, film critic had praised Sudeep and Rajamouli for their superb work. He had tweeted Eega has set a new benchmarks and has taken Indian cinema forward. Before the release of Eega, Ram Gopal Varma, Bollywood filmmaker had anticipated that Eega would start the club of 100 crore movies in Telugu.
