Hyderabad, July 4 (): Expectations around Eega is growing bigger as the movie releases on July 6 with over 1200 prints. The movie is a Telugu-Tamil bi-lingual socio-fantasy film written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The Telugu version will be dubbed in Malayalam as Eecha and will be released at the same time.
Rajamouli said Eega was started easily as a small-budget experimental film but when it started developing it grew bigger. With over 90 minutes of realistic animation and visual effects, the total film cost up to 35 crore rupees.
After finishing all the works in the movie and when the movie was ready to be released, ‘Rajamouli tweeted “Yep! Done! Finished! Now the most irritating part is the waiting period till 6th..:” This statement reveals how enthusiastic he was for his movie’s release after two years of hard work.
The movie is much talked about for the special effects in graphical extravaganza and Sudeep’s performance in the movie.
Even before its release, the movie on the story of revenge of a house fly has created buzz in the film world. The trailer was released on YouTube. In just two weeks of its release, its trailers received five lakh views on YouTube, an impressive count for a movie where a house fly plays the hero.
The film stars Sudeep, Samantha and Nani in lead roles. Another interesting part of the movie is legendary singer S P Balasubramaniam has done a cameo in Eega.
When asked to Nani about the film, he said he had a different experience in the movie. Eega is a landmark film. He added he was lucky and happy to get this opportunity. The graphics and the execution have taken the Telugu cinema to another level.
Rajamouli has earlier delivered the super-hit movie Magadheera, starring Ram Charan Teja, and another super-hit with Maryada Ramanna which had no big star cast. Making a house fly a hero is certainly going to be a much, much bigger challenge. Let us wait till July 6.
