Mumbai, July 3 (): Bol Bachchan, Bollywood romance comedy film is all set to open in big screens on July 6, Friday. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty, which stars Ajay Devgn, Asin Thottumkal, Abhishek Bachchan and Prachi Desai in lead roles.
Rohit Shetty who directed the comedy film, Golmaal 3 (2010), at first gave actor Ajay Devgn an idea about doing Golmaal 4, but Devgn said “Golmaal 4 can be done later as it is necessary to have two years gap between two Golmaal movies and releasing every year will not be good enough.”
Since the ‘Golmaal’ series cannot happen without Ajay Devgn, Shetty decided to take his advice. Then the decision ended as making Bol Bachchan before Golmaal 4.
Bol Bachchan plays with the exclusive idea of casting the roles that were initially there in the ‘Golmaal’ directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Abhishek Bachchan plays the role of Ram Prasad which was originally done by Amol Palekar. Ajay Devgn does the character of Bhawani Shankar, originally played by Utpal Dutt.
The main female role was at first offered to Bipasha Basu, but as she rejected the offer actress Asin was roped. The same way, earlier actress Genelia D’Souza was signed to play the second female lead. Due to her differences with the makers, she opted out of the project and hence the role was offered to Prachi Desai.
Producer Ajay Devgn says Bol Bachchan is a complete entertainer. The Rohit Shetty film will provide all the features the audience like to watch. Apart from the entertaining portion, the film also has drama and mind-blowing action. Amitabh Bachchan is seen in a song and also given his voice. The presence of Amitabh too enhances the prospects of the film.
‘Bol Bachchan’ opens on July 6th and seems to be a film that is worth looking out for in 2012.
