Kristen Stewart highest-paid Hollywood actress

London, Jun 22 (): Kristen Stewart has reached the top of Forbes’s list of the highest-paid Hollywood actresses.

Kristen Stewart, 22-year-old Twilight star has earned an estimated value of $34.5 million (£22m) from May 2011 to May this year and has pushed Angelina Jolie into the fourth place.

Cameron Diaz, who got a surprise hit with Bad Teacher, came in second with $34 million (£21m).

Forbes magazine counts the earnings on the basis of pay, profits, advertising work and endorsements and by talking to agents.
Forbes Los Angeles bureau chief, Dorothy Pomerantz said Kristen Stewart is a budding star. She is earning a lot of money from one of the most successful franchises of all time.

This year we can see a young girl sitting on the top of the list. Twenty-two-year-old Stewart is 16 years younger than the next youngest person on the list, 38-year-old Kristen Wiig, whose Bridesmaids and Saturday Night Live earnings brought her $12 million.

Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock came third with $25 million (£16m). Angelina Jolie, who was at the top along with Sarah Jessica Parker in last year’s list was dropped to fourth spot with earnings of $20 million (£13m).

Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart’s co-star in Snow White and the Huntsman, came fifth with $18 million (£11m).
Parker glided to the seventh place with a $15 million (£9m) salary.

Pomerantz said Parker was earning more from endorsement deals and her perfume right now than from entertainment.
Angelina Jolie also earns a lot from residuals income, as does Sarah Jessica Parker.

The top 10 actresses earned a total of $200 million (£127m), according to Forbes.com, a lot less than the $361 million (£229m) total that the 10 highest-earning men made.

Pomerantz said women are paid less in every industry, not just in Hollywood.

In April Kristen Stewart was voted the world’s best dressed woman by Glamour magazine. She also topped a Forbes list of Hollywood’s most bankable actors in December.
