Mumbai, June 7 (): The recent question in Bollywood is will ‘Rowdy Rathore’ enter into Rs 100 cr-club? In just four days from its release, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s most recent release has gathered above Rs 50 crore at box-office.
Box office collection reports say Rowdy Rathore has collected Rs 65.92 crores till Tuesday. This latest action thriller film might cross 100 crore mark in its second weekend of release.
The film is making a good run currently and it would garner another Rs 16 – 18 crores, by which the collection would round up to Rs 82 – 85 crores in its first week of release. The collection would evidently cross the 100 crore mark in its next weekend. And Rowdy Rathore will be the third film to enter the league in the year 2012.
Akshay Kumar’s April release Housefull 2 entered 100 crore club and was considered as Akshay’s biggest opening ever.
Rowdy Rathore was released all over the world on June 1, 2012 and it is doing wonders at box-office. If Rowdy Rathore joins the 100-crore club, it would be Akshay Kumar’s second movie in the year 2012, to make such a wonderful business.
Rowdy Rathore has garnered around Rs 29.80 crores in its first two days of release. The budget of the movie is Rs 45 crores and it has already collected its production expenses and has done a good business for around Rs 65.92 crores till Tuesday.
The movie is directed by Tamil actor, choreographer cum director Prabhu Deva. The production is done by Ronnie Screwvala and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie was released in nearly 2,800 screens all over India. The occupancy was 95% to 100% in single screens and 55% to 70% in multiplexes throughout India.
Rowdy Rathore features Sonakshi Sinha in the female lead role and the movie will be the second hit for actress Sonakshi Sinha.
