Hyderabad, May 23 (): Pawan Kalyan’s recent release Gabbar Singh opened an overwhelming response in Box Office and has made record in its second week in the Tollywood film industry.
The remake movie of the Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg has reached the whooping Rs 50 crore taking into account all the collection centres throughout the world, especially in mere ten days of its release. It has created a record trade at the Telugu Box Office.
Gabbar Singh released in more number of theatres, which created record in the industry. The film is screened in 176 halls in Nizam which include 58 theatres in Hyderabad, 25 theatres in Bangalore, 22 cinema halls in Mumbai and in USA nearly 186 shows in the second week. 70-100% occupancy was registered in most of the cinema halls.
The film which is directed by Harish Shankar raked Rs 42.55 crore in its first week at worldwide Box Office. In the second week too, Gabbar Singh is still continuing to rock in the ticket counters at the theaters.
The second weekend collection added about Rs 9.70 crore to the collection. So, the total collection for the 10 days of its release rounded up to Rs 52.25 crore.
It garnered Rs 6.6 crore from AP Box Office, from all other non-AP centres Rs 1.5 crore and with Rs 1.6 crore from the worldwide collection centres.
On the other hand, Gabbar Singh have no strong competitor at Box Office in its second week too, which is the reason; the movie is receiving huge response. Trade analyst expects that the film may not cross Rs 75 crore by the end of its second week. But, they say it is surely expected to reach upto Rs 65 crore.
Talking to a daily, Harish Shankar said Pawan Kalyan`s charisma and body language joined with the visuals and comedy connected well with the audience everywhere.
