Box Office Collection: Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh gets huge opening

Hyderabad, May 13 (): Gabbar Singh has again ruined Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s own power box-office collections as the movie gathered an astonishing collection on opening day of release.

Gabbar Singh’s first day collections have set a new record in Tollywood. Analysts’ reports further predict many other records are also set to fall in the industry.

Gabbar Singh was released on May 11th, worldwide in around 2500 theaters.

Opening day collections in different places as follows:

Andra Pradesh    – 8.43crores

Karnataka           – 0.75 crores

USA                      – 3.7 crores

Total                     – 12.88 crores.

Apart from AP, several other states of India including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Orissa have also got good response.

There were première shows in many cities in USA, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, Netherlands, Dubai and Kuwait. Sources say the collections were remarkable on its first day abroad as well.

Pawan Kalyan is the first Tollywood star to cross 10 crore score on opening day. Film makers, distributors and business people are confident of recovering their entire amount by this Monday itself.

The film has registered about 80 to 100% occupancy in multiplexes and single screens all over the country. In B and C centres the theatres saw houseful shows in AP on its first day. The theatres were displaying “Housefull” boards early morning on the first day.

Pawan had some flops recently; yet, he took everything in his stride and has come up with this wonderful mass masala entertainer. The film is made as complete money-spinner and it will be a carnival time for all his fans.

Gabbar Singh is directed by Harish Shankar. It is the remake of Dabangg, Salman Khan’s super hit. This romantic-action flick stars Shruti Hassan in the female role.

The filmmakers did huge promos before the release. The promotion trailer and stills created curiosity in the industry and among the fans. Moreover, most of the film critics have given positive reviews and has rated the movie 3.5 out of 5.
