Chennai, Jan 18 (): The shooting of ‘Kochadaiyaan’, Superstar Rajinikanth’s forthcoming film, is expected to start in Chennai on January 19, Thursday. This day is considered to be an auspicious day for the superstar as he has begun many new ventures on the same date.
“January 19 is an auspicious day and Rajini is ready to start his next project on that date. The formal pooja will take place at the Superstar’s favourite Pillayar temple inside the AVM Studios at Vadapalani,” sources say.
Kochadaiyaan is directed by Soundarya Ashwin, the youngest daughter of Rajini. The movie will be shot using state-of-the-art technology. “Graphic programmes used for Avatar will be used in Kochadaiyaan,” said Soundarya earlier.
The search for the female role is still on and they have offered it to Katrina Kaif, who is yet to give her answer. However, Mirugam fame Aadhi has been signed to play an important role in the upcoming multilingual movie.
K S Ravikumar, who has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues, will also help Soundarya in directing the movie. After completing ‘Kochadaiyaan,’ Rajini and Ravikumar will come together for ‘Rana’, their long-pending project.
AR Rahman has kick-started the music compositional works of Kochadaiyaan from today. Soundarya has left Chennai to start the proceedings in Mumbai.
Soundarya Rajinikanth has confirmed the news on Twitter. She wrote, “Heading to Mumbai to start work with my all-time favourite AR Rahman sir. We are recording with 130 plus members German orchestra!”
After the formal Pooja, Soundarya will commence the shooting at AVM Studio starting with scenes involving Rajini and Sneha, who plays his sister in the film. The shooting is likely to then shift base to a bungalow along the ECR road.
A song which is A. R. Rahman’s composition on Rajinikanth will also be canned with K. S. Ravikumar supervising the entire shoot.
