STORY

The story is about three friends wooing a ‘laddu’ girl. Sethu (Sethu), Kaalkattu Kaliyaperumal aka KK (Santhanam) and Power Kumar (Srinivasan) are best friends and jobless; their only job is to chase girls and have fun. All the three fall in love with Sowmya (Vishaka). They make a deal that if one of them wins her heart, then the other two should take a step back.

All three friends enter her house in different ways. Sethu impresses her by helping her aunty (Kovai Sarala) and brother, KK learns singing from her uncle (VTV Ganesh) and Power Kumar attends Bharatanatyam classes held by her dad. Who will win her heart?

PERFORMANCE

As usual, Santhanam has rocked in his typical comedy style.

Sethu has done a decent job.

Srinivasan has made his role extremely well and in most of the scenes has stolen the screen space from Santhanam.

Vishakha suits well for her role ‘laddu’. The story revolves around her and she has done a good job in all scenes including the song sequences.

VTV Ganesh, Kovai Sarala, Devadarshini, Raja and Ganeshkar have done justice to their roles.

Special cameos by director Gautham Menon and actor Simbu help the movie end in a right note.

Thaman’s background music and songs are refreshing and completely gel with the theme of the film.

Cinematographer Balasubramaniam has handled camera well, giving a youthful and colourful look to the movie.

Director Manikandan has to be praised for giving a humour-packed film.

The humorous movie, KLTA is a real treat for movie buffs this Pongal festival.
