Pakistan

After falling short of 12 runs in their first match against Sri Lanka, Pakistan would certainly be making use of this match against Afghanistan to score their first points.

Pakistan have to leave the frustrating defeat behind in order to make their stay longer in the tournament. Fatullah ground is not favourable for the pace attack but the team would expect a good fiery spell from their rising bowler Junaid Khan. Fatullah, Feb 27 (TruthDive): Virat Kohli started his stand-in captain responsibility in a perfect fashion, making his 19th ODI century with which he helped India to register a six-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the Asia Cup on Wednesday.

Highlights

Though Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan failed to show a good show, it was stand-in captain Virat Kohli, who guided India towards safety. He shared a 213-run partnership with Ajinkya Rahane (73) and ensured victory. After being declared the Man of the Match, Kohli said he was happy with the way Team India played.

He added that though Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s absence was a big factor, the team members have stepped up to the challenge and made an impact.
