Nagpur, Oct.7 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Tuesday said that the Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has lost confidence after the breaking of the alliance between the two parties ahead of the elections in Maharashtra.
“The Shiv Sena chief has been making certain statements. Whatever may be the reasons for the breaking of our alliance, the fact remains that we were allies for the past 25 years. Such statements from the Sena raise questions: has the Shiv Sena lost its confidence, have they accepted that they are going to lose during the elections?” Rudy told ANI.
“The focus should be on freeing Maharashtra from the corrupt rule of the NCP and Congress. When the main opposition are Congress and NCP, why is Shiv Sena seeing BJP as its main opponent?” Rudy added.
He further said that the people of Maharashtra have an opportunity to end Congress-NCP’s regime, saying, “We are confident that the people of Maharashtra want to see a BJP government ruling the state.”
On Monday, Thackeray had alleged that the BJP was looking to break Maharashtra into pieces in the name of bringing progress and development. (ANI)
