Anjaan to be Suriya’s biggest opening, releases in 1400 cinemas worldwide

Chennai, Aug 13 (): Suriya’s upcoming film ‘Anjaan’ releasing on August 15, Independence Day will be screened in about 1400 screens worldwide. The film also releases in Telugu version that is titled as ‘Sikander’. Both the Tamil and Telugu versions will be released in 1400 screens. The screen count is a record number and it is the biggest release for the lead actor Suriya as well as for a south Indian film.

Trade analyst Trinath confirmed the news about the movie’s screen count. He said Anjaan is releasing in about 1,400 screens worldwide and it is the biggest release  ever for Suriya. The film is taking a biggest screen count as it is releasing in both in Tamil and Telugu versions on the same day, he said.

Also, lots of expectations are riding over the film. Trinath said Anjaan is predicted to take the box office by storm. No other films from Tamil or Telugu is releasing on Anjaan’s release day. So, the Suriya starrer is predicted to register a record opening. The trailer, teasers and the songs of the movie have already created enough buzz among the masses and the advance ticket booking that started few days back has also been showing the sign that the movie is all set to storm the box office in its full force.

Bollywood movie Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns also releases on the same day, but it does not appear it will pose a threat to Anjaan as both the movies concentrate on different territories.

Tamil action thriller movie, Anjaan is produced by Subash Chandra Bose and UTV Motion Pictures and directed by Linguswamy. The movie stars Suriya and Samantha in lead roles whereas Manoj Bajpai, Rajpal Yadav, Dalip Tahil, Chitrangada Singh and Vidyut Jamwal play very essential roles in the movie. Music for Anjaan is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Anjaan has also another credit in its kitty, it is the first south Indian film to release worldwide in digital format.
