Hyderabad,Aug 12 (): BJP will have no seat-sharing with Telugu Desam in Telangana, says its State Chief Kishan Reddy.
Reddy was elected for the second term as BJP State president. Reddy says that the seat-sharing adjustment between BJP and TD was only for Lok Sabha polls. He claims that BJP which was in support of Telangana state formation lost the goodwill of the people by aligning with TD.
He says that TD is seen by Telangana voters as anti–people. This negativity hit the BJP as it was seen in the company of TD. He said that TD in Telangana state had a draw in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district.
Reddy’s statement comes on the eve of the visit of BJP National president Amit Shah to the State. The BJP president will tour the State for two days. Reddy says that BJP will go to the voters on the strength of the good things that Narendra Modi government will do. The next polls coming five years later will see BJP coming to power on its own, said Reddy.
BJP State president said that CM KCR was not justified in blaming BJP for not helping Telangana and pointed out it was the State unit that had lobbied and got the sanction for AIIMS in Hyderabad. He said that when he asked for student’s fee reimbursement and the TRS to stand by the poll offer of famers’ loan waiver, KCR called him anti-Telangana.
Commenting on the clause 8 of the AP reorganization bill, Reddy says that the Governor will step in only if there is misadministration. KCR should administer well to avoid such a situation. He also said that the clause was only till Andhra got its capital and as things go, the new city will come up in two years.
Replying to KCR charges that BJP in Telangana is run by TD, he said Chandrababu Naidu himself had complained about him being a hurdle in seat-sharing during the last poll.
