Shashi Tharoor in a fix over forensic report

New Delhi,Mar 23 (): Shashi Tharoor seeking mandate for the second time from Thiruvananthapuram is in a spot as the forensic report released says that there was no trace of poison in the viscera of Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor.

The Left had already made the unnatural death of Shashi Tharoor’s wife a poll issue. The central forensic report on the viscera of Sunanda was given to Delhi police on late Friday. The report says that there is no trace of poison in the viscera and could be due to overdose of medicine. The Delhi police were given a report by SDM who investigated the death saying it could be due to poisoning. The autopsy report by AIIMS said that the body has injury marks and traces of anti- anxiety drug but not enough to cause death. The report put the cause as poisoning and passed on the job to the investigators to find out whether it was willfully taken or forced to take. SDM inquiry put it at poisoning.

Delhi police is now confused on the forensic report findings. Now the report will be given to AIIMS panel to go through and ascertain whether it was overdosage. As the poisoning theory has been ruled out, room for foul play is ruled out. However, the case being still lying open will be used by CPI to create doubts that power was at play to save Shashi Tharoor.

Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda used to have fights and it came out in the open in Twitter over war of words between Sunanda and Mehr, a Pakistan journalist who praised Shashi Tharoor. Sunanda alleged that Mehr was having an affair with Shashi Tharoor. Sunanda was diagnosed of having a rare disease that affects immune systems. CCTV footage in the hotel and eyewitness reports showed that Shashi Tharoor was not in hotel at the time of death. The forensic report will however give Left a room to kick off yet another whisper campaign.
