New Delhi,Mar 12 (): AAP website showed an India map with Kashmir being part of Pakistan. AAP leader Prashant Bhushan had earlier called for a referendum in the valley as to decide whether the Kashmiris wanted to be with Pakistan or not. The map was shown on the donations page of the AAP, but has now been removed. However, it has already been on Twitter, putting AAP party into another spot.
In a gaffe, Kejriwal was seen asking a channel anchor on how to play up the comment on Bhagat Singh and pipe down his comment on being anti-capitalist. In a rally in Gujarat, he offered homage to three RTI activists who were still alive.
In a new development, AAP Kejriwal’s guru Anna Hazare will campaign against him in Delhi as TMC has decided to field candidates in all constituencies in the capital.
Today, at Ramlila grounds Mamata and Anna will name the candidates at Janatantra rally. 300 applicants who signed the declaration to fulfil Anna’s 17 point of good governance are under scrutiny. Only those who hail from Delhi and staying in the constituency will be given ticket.
AAP is facing dissent of having foisted candidates with no base or link with the constituency like Ashutosh in Chandni Chowk and Rajmohan Gandhi. The workers of the TMC will wear ‘Main Anna Hoon’ caps used by Hazare in the agitation for Jan Lokpal.
AAP which is a by-product of Anna’s agitation would take a hit since most of the cadres are Anna followers. The anti-corruption plank of AAP would take a hit as Anna has no stigma on him while Kejriwal and his aides have been involved in many controversies.
AAP quitting the government and not keeping to poll promises is yet another sore point. The TMC manifesto does not promise any freebies. The 17 point agenda of Anna was accepted said Kejriwal but added that he will not back Mamata.
