CSIR NET June 2014 – Application, Syllabus, Important Dates

New Delhi, Feb 11 (): Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), one of the leading organizations in India is all set to conduct National Eligibility Test (NET) on 22nd June 2014 for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and to decide eligibility for Lecturers post in certain subject areas under the faculty of Science & Technology.

Candidates are notified to apply for CSIR NET June 2014 for either JRF or for Lectureship post. CSIR NET June 2014 examination will be held at 26 centres across the country.

CSIR NET June 2014 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Candidates should not exceed 28 years of age as on 01-01-2014.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess BS-4 years program /B.E / B.Tech / B.Pharma /MBBS /Integrated BS-MS / M.Sc or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks.( SC/ST candidates, physically and Visually Handicapped candidates- 50%)

Application Fee

For General category candidates- Rs.400/-

For OBC – Rs. 200/-

For SC / ST / PH / VH – Rs. 100/-

Morning Session   – 9 am – 12 noon

Afternoon Session – 2 pm -5 pm

Candidates will be given a duration of 3 hours.

CSIR NET June 2014 Scheme

Question paper will be divided into three parts such as A, B and C.

Part A: will be common to all subjects including Engineering Sciences and will likely contain questions regarding General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.

Part B: will contain Multiple Choice questions regarding topics given in the syllabus.

Part C: will contain questions in order to check and assess candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and application of the scientific concepts. Part C will also contain questions based on analytical nature in which candidates will have to apply systematically to find the answer to the given scientific problems.

Starting date for submission of application- 10th February 2014

Closing date for submission of application -4th March 2014

Closing date for fee payment-3rd March 2014

Issue of admit card- Mid-June 2014
