Kabaddi World Cup 2013 final result : India defeat New Zealand to win women’s title

Jalandhar, Dec 13 (TruthDive): India bagged the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup championship title for the third time in a row, beating new comers New Zealand by 49-21 points in the match played at Guru Gobind Singh sports complex here on December 12, Thursday.

The Indian ladies led the New Zealand players for most part of the match and were very strong especially in the second half, on course to a loud win. The Indian women’s team took home a first-place prize money of Rs. one crore.

Anu Rani was declared the best stopper while Ram Bateri was announced the best raider. Both the ladies were very proud, as they took the cash prize and Maruti Alto cars along with them.

Final match:

India vs NewZealand

India won the women’s title by 49-21 points

Third place match:

Denmark vs Pakistan

Denmark took the third place by 34-33 points, while Pakistan took the fourth place.

The third place match was a neck to neck match, when both the teams were leading the match now and then.

Men’s category:

Third place match:

England vs United States

United States bagged the third place by scoring 62-27 points. From the start of the match, United States remained in a solid lead.

Final match:

The men’s finals for the Kabaddi World Cup 2013 will be played between India and Pakistan on 14 December, 20.30 hrs at Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana.
