New Delhi, Dec 12 (): Aam Aadmi Party will field Kumar Vishwas against Rahul Gandhi at Amethi.
Aam Aadmi Party at the victory rally announced that it is going to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Kejriwal said that if the funds came in, it would contest the 2014 elections.
Manish Sisodia however hinted it would project a young leader from its ranks. Speculations are rife that it is Kumar Vishwas. Kumar Vishwas said Aam Aadmi Party does not distribute tickets like Congress does from 10 Janpath. He said he will have to apply just like Arvind Kejriwal did, and if the committee selects him and gives him the ticket, he will then contest and end the dynasty politics, said Vishwas.
Vishwas will meet Anna Hazare, who is on an indefinite fast for Jan Lokpal Bill, in Ralegan Siddhi. Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal and Vishwas together were scheduled to go to Ralegan Sidhi to support Hazare’s agitation.
But, Kejriwal had to cancel his trip due to ill-health. Aam Aadmi Party called honest people from all walks of life and from all political parties, to join the party in the fight against corruption.
The Aam Aadmi Party did not say in how many states and seats it would contest Lok Sabha elections. The Aam Aadmi Party is strengthening itself in Gujarat and set up its units in 19 districts and is planning to form its units in the rest of the districts.
Patel, the Gujarat convener said that he was getting calls from academicians, social activists and leaders of the established parties. He did not reveal the names but he had only one message that there are no posts.
Everything is decided by a consultative committee and it is not a single man who decides. Patel said AAP might contest a few seats. AAP has asked BJP’s Arun Jaitley to stand from Delhi for LS and face its candidates.
