Vijay’s Jilla intro song sung by SPB-Shankar Mahadevan

Chennai, Dec 6 (): Vijay’s Jilla is making headlines recently through his opening song as it was said few days back, the song was made in a grand manner.

Now, the latest news is the track is one of the most overwhelming sequences of Kollywood.

Music for Jilla is composed by music composer Imman. He has revealed that the song has excellent singers SP Balasubramaniam and Shankar Mahadevan singing for Mohanlal and Vijay respectively.

The number was recorded last week. The music director has mainly used Chendai (cylindrical percussion instrument) beats.

Tlking about the song, Imman says the intro song is a fast-paced track, which talks about the qualities of the lead stars Vijay and Mohanlal.

In an interview to Times of India, Imman has quoted that even though the two singers have sung together earlier, he hoped this one becomes the definitive song featuring this deadly combo of Vijay and Mohanlal.

He said he had tried to make the song musically interesting as well. Since it was a song full of energy, he had used chendai beats, which are normally used in our film songs in the background as the predominant beats.

The song would be the highlight of the Jilla album. Moreover, the song has been shot in the beautiful locales of Pollachi, in which 80 dancers and 1000 junior artistes have been involved. Director Nesan said the opening song is a mass song and explained that the song was very relevant to the script.

The music composer is also proud to announce that all songs have come out well, and ‘Jilla’ audio is expected to hit the stores on December 18th.

A teaser and a trailer of the film are also expected to be released along with the audio of the film.

Jilla stars Vijay, Kajal Aggarwal and Mollywood superstar Mohanlal in the lead roles. It is directed by Nesan and produced by RB Chaudhary.
