Anil Kapoor soon to start second season of ’24’

Mumbai, Dec 4 (): After completing the shoot of the first season of the television series 24, Anil Kapoor is all set to start the second season.

’24′ is an adaptation of the hit American TV series of the same name. The series went on air on Oct 4 and is running successfully receiving rave reviews. The final episode will be shown on Dec 21. The show is based on a 24-hour format where one season spans over 24 episodes chronicling 24 hours. Anil plays head of Anti-Terrorist Unit, Jai Singh Rathod in the series.

After wrapping up the shooting, Anil Kapoor and his production team held a bash on Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Mumbai to celebrate the success of the show. Mandira Bedi, who plays a pivotal role in “24″, was not seen in the success bash, but Anil’s brothers Boney and Sanjay and Richa Chadda were spotted at the bash.

The 56-year-old actor said at the success party of the show that the second season would start very soon and the team would work even harder and would try to create an even better product.

Anil is very happy to have taken the decision of making a television series and said that till date he had not received as much appreciation for his film that he had received for his television series 24. People had liked the show very much and he believes the best thing about “24″ is that the work of all actors in the series had been applauded.

He added sometimes in films only one actor is appreciated and people say the film ran because of that actor. But in this show everyone had done their respective roles really well.

Meantime, Anil Kapoor is planning for the second season of 24. But, the content of season two has not yet been finalized. The sponsors and producers shall get together next month to decide on the details of the next season.
