PSTET exam questions pattern 2013

Amritsar, Nov 23 (): Punjab Government School Education Department which is set to conduct the Punjab State Eligibility Test on 28th December 2013 has notified exam pattern and content of PSTET. The Punjab Government already announced recruitment notification for PSTET 2013-14.

Candidates those who have applied and will appear for PSTET 2013 Examination can make a note of the following Exam Pattern.

Below given notification may help candidates to find an easy way to prepare for the PSTET 2013-14. There will Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in PSTET test with each carrying one mark. Out of four alternative questions candidates will have to pick the right answer.

Candidates need not worry about negative marking as there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Candidates appearing for the PSTET 2013 will have to appear for two papers such as Paper I and Paper II.  Candidates appearing for Paper I will be selected as teacher for classes I to V (if qualified) and Candidates appearing for paper II will be selected as teacher for classes VI to VIII (if qualified) in the PSTET written examination.

Candidate who appears for both paper I and Paper II may be selected as teacher (if qualified) for both primary classes and higher classes.

Outlook and standard of questions

While Test items for Language-I will focus on the ability of candidate, Language-II will be among the prescribed options other than Language-I.

Candidates may select any one language from the available language options and will have to mention the same in the application form.

Language II will also be related to language, communication and comprehension abilities.

Test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will be related to problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects.

Candidate appearing for the PSTET exam will have to score 60% or more to qualify the PSTET examination.

Note- Answer Sheets will be evaluated and scrutinized with extreme care. Therefore checking, re-assessment, re-evaluation or scrutiny of OMR Answer Sheets will not incur any benefit to candidate.
