IIT JEE Advanced 2014 : application, important dates, pattern

New Delhi, Nov 4 (): The IIT JEE Advanced 2014 will be jointly conducted by the zonal IITs such as IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee. Notification has been issued for online application of IIT JEE Advanced 2014.

Candidates who appear for the IIT JEE Advanced 2014 will have to write Paper-1 of JEE (Main)-2014 in the month of April 2014. A total of 1, 50,000 toppers who qualify Paper-1   of JEE (Main) 2014 will be eligible to appear for the JEE (Advanced) 2014 examination.

The JEE (Advanced) 2014 will be conducted in only select cities across  India and candidates while registering will have to select three towns/cities in the same zone. Candidates will be allowed to select the centres according to their choice. Candidates are also notified that change of city or town once allotted to the candidate will not be entertained under any circumstances.

JEE (Advanced) – 2014 Pattern

The JEE (Advanced) 2014  which will be held on 25th  May will contain two separate objective type (Multiple Choice Question) papers, namely Paper-1 and Paper-2, with separate parts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Duration given for examination will be three hours.

Question papers will be available either in Hindi or in English. Candidates will have to select the question paper language while registering for JEE (Advanced) 2014.

Questions will be of objective type which will be designed to test the aptitude of the candidates in comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability.  Wrong answers in some segments will likely be given negative marks.
