Chennai, Oct 29 (): The expectations over Ajith’s Deepavali flick Arrambam is rising high as the film is releasing in just two days. The countdown for the film has already started. Arrambam is slated to release in 700+ screens in the South.
“Arrambam” is hitting the screens on 31 October across the globe. The new Ajith flick is directed by Vishnuvardhan. It has received a clean “U” certificate. The director is confident that the film will set a new benchmark for Ajith, in terms of box office success, as well as mass appeal.
With Arrambam fever already gripping Ajith’s fans, multiplexes and single-screen theatres across the State are looking to make use of this Deepavali to do great business with Alith’s film. Quite a few multiplexes in Chennai have planned to pull out all other movies to accommodate Arrambam, from October 31. Theatre owners are not particularly worried about the film because the shows are already sold out.
Abirami Cinemas has planned as many as 16 shows daily, the AGS group (with two multiplexes in Navalur and Villivakkam) has planned a whopping 36 shows a day. Not only multiplexes are looking to do more business with Arrambam, single screens are also planning to make their business big.
Theatres like Woodlands and Rohini have chosen to screen Arrambam on extra screens at least over the weekend. The most interesting fact is all show timings are highlighted in red, indicating that they’re all sold out.
Another major reason for the hype is Ajith is teaming up with filmmaker Vishnuvardhan again – the man who brought back his flagging career to life with Billa (2007).
Director of the film said the film’s story is reportedly based on a real life incident that is well-known across the country.
Apart from Ajith, “Arrambam” has Arya, Nayanthara, Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu and Mahesh Manjrekar in pivotal roles.
