Mumbai, Oct 24 (): Actor Ranbir Kapoor says he does not regret doing Besharam because for him every film is a learning experience and also feels that both success and failure are part of an actor’s life.
Besharam was released on October 3 with huge expectations. But, the movie unexpectedly failed to garner much attention at the box office.
Directed by Abhinav Kashyap, Besharam features Ranbir Kapoor opposite Pallavi Sharda, who marks her return to cinema. The film also has Ranbir’s parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor playing essential roles.
Besharam was considered as the best film for Ranbir after his superhit film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and Kashyap after his film “Dabangg”.
But, the movie failed to show a good run. Ranbir Kapoor said that it does not really bother him if his movie Besharam failed at the box office. As per Kapoor, he at least received an opportunity to work with his parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor in Besharam.
Ranbir also said that he had done some good films in the past and has also received praises from film critics. Also, some of his last movies were superhits, hence the actor feels fine if Besharam failed to live up to one’s expectations.
There is no doubt that Ranbir’s last film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani proved to be a milestone in Ranbir’s career. Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ performed very well and had showed good figures at the box office.
Ranbir has received five Filmfare Awards. Kapoor tasted success with his romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno. In 2010, he received the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his performances in three films, Wake Up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.
Moreover, his last year release Barfi, in which he played a deaf-mute boy also gave him a lot of appreciation.
