New Delhi, Oct 11 (): The German carmaker Volkswagen India has launched the Vento TSI on Thursday in New Delhi priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The company said in a statement, “The new variant, which comes with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, will be on sale from today.” The Vento TSI is available in six different colours – Pepper Gray, Candy White, Terra Beige, Reflex Silver, Shadow Blue and Deep Black.
Arvind Saxena, Managing Director of Volkswagen passenger cars said, “With its class-leading build quality and high levels of fit and finish, the Vento TSI will be the car of choice for discerning buyers.”
The Vento TSI has a fuel-efficient 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine which churns out maximum power output of 103bhp at 5000rpm and 175Nm of top torque at 1500-4100rpm. The forced-induction TSI engines are powerful and compact and use less petrol when compared to bigger, normally-aspirated engines. The Vento TSI offers an exciting fuel economy of around 16.93 kmpl per litre (ARAI Certified). The engine is coupled with 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox for outstanding acceleration and ease of driving.
Other special features include 6 years of anti-perforation warranty for galvanised body, anti-lock brakes (ABS), leather seats, an electronic stabilisation programme (ESP), dual frontal airbags, an electronic engine immobiliser with floating code, 3-point seat-belts at the front, Hill Hold function and Sporty alloy wheels.
The other features are speed sensitive electronic power steering, speed sensing auto door lock, central locking system with remote control, rear parking sensors and electrically adjustable ORVMs. It also gets two-din music system.
In the front, it comes with halogen headlamps with black finish and a chrome finish on the trunk.
The company said that car will be available in select cities across India initially.
