Mumbai, Oct 10 (): Akshay Kumar starrer “Boss” has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest poster after beating Michael Jackson’s “This Is It”.
Akshay Kumar’s fan club Team Akshay made a special poster of Boss. The poster is 58.87 metres wide and 54.94 metres high. After four months of labour, the largest poster was unveiled to the world at Little Gransden Airfield, Little Gransden, UK, on October 3, 2013.
The official certification for the largest poster was done in the UK itself and the ‘Boss’ poster also finds a mention on the official Guinness website. When the Guinness officials came to measure it, the poster beat Michael Jackson’s record by a 15-20 percent margin.
Macro Arts (UK) did the manufacturing of the largest poster in the world. Previously, Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” held the Guinness World Record for being the largest poster in the world. Incidentally, Macro Arts is the same company that had made Michael Jackson’s poster too.
Aksahy Kunmar said, “It’s a matter of honour. I thank everyone who made it possible”. The producer of Boss, Ashwin Varde, adds, “Every Indian should be proud of this achievement.”
The upcoming film of Aksahy Kumar is directed by Anthony D’Souza. The flick also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Danny Denzongpa, Aditi Rao Hydari and Parikshit Sahni in pivotal roles.
Akshay Kumar’s Boss is expected to become a hit film. The reasons quoted by the industry analysts about the expectations are Akshay Kumar is the ruling superstar of the day who has given a series of hits in a succession. The fans of Akshay love to see their favourite hero in action.
Singham and Chennai Express worked partly because of the mind-blowing stunts shown in the promos. Surely, Boss has more to offer. Moreover, Boss is being promoted in a manner that is garnering huge attention towards it.
“Boss” is slated to hit theatres on October 16.
