Ahmedabad, Oct 7 (TruthDive): Narendra Modi today become the first Chief Minister of Gujarat to complete 12 years . His vibrant Gujarat, a model of economic development was a success and also got nominated as BJP’s prime ministerial candidate for 2014 elections. The state government hailed this achievement. Having started by selling tea to rail passengers, joined RSS and worked his way to BJP. Ever since he became CM in 2001, Narendra Modi has won three terms and literally wiping out the Congress.
The state government attributed the success of Narendra Modi rule to the development policy and appeasement to none. Narendra Modi, 63-year-old leader has been named as the prime ministerial candidate of BJP for May 2014 Lok Sabha polls. The information ministry lauded the growth model and the state emerging as the Indian growth engine which is now a model for developing countries and other States.
The statement detailed various schemes that were a success. Chief Minister Narendra Modi is an example of how one can face challenges and comes out victorious. The Godhra riots in 2002 which left many members of minority community dead had out a blot on him but later Supreme Court cleared him of any involvement.
The Congress in the State is looking forward after the visit of Rajiv Gandhi. For the first time in the history of Gujarat Congress, a high ranking Vice President met low down office bearers at the taluk level to hear them out. Rahul kept the GPCC President and other State office bearers out of this interaction so that views are freely expressed.
Some corrective measures are to be taken soon and workers are gearing up for the LS polls. Rahul termed that Congress defeats were due to internal fights and promised that those who worked hard would be rewarded. He told that any election victory comes as a result of the hard work and one should not take election as do or die and all should work to make the party stronger.
