Jaipur, Sep 21 (): The first match of the group stage of the Karbonn Smart CLT20 2013 will be played at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur on September 21 between winners of IPL 2013 Mumbai Indians and hosts Rajasthan Royals.
Sachin Tendulkar of Mumbai Indians and Rahul Dravid, the two veterans of Indian cricket have decided to retire from the limited-over matches after this tournament.
This Group A match will be played at September 21 at 8.00 PM (IST)
The Mumbai Indians definitely start as favourites as they are confident of winning IPL 2013 edition. They won the Champions League in 2011. Skipper Rohit Sharma captained 13 matches and won 10 matches with a 76.9 percent success rate. He is in good form and wicket-keeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has also proved his ability in last few months. Dwayne Smith and Ambati Rayudu can play some anchor roles to set a high total. Kieron Pollard may hit fiery stokes at the end of the innings.
In bowling, Mumbai Indians really miss Lasith Malinga, Johnson will have to shoulder that responsibility. Nathan Coulter and Rishi Dhawan do not have much international experience and have to give support from other side. Harbhajan Singh will lead the spinning attack with left-arm orthodox bowler Pragyan Ojha.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma said, “We know perhaps this is Sachin’s last Twenty20 tournament and we want to play good cricket for him.”

The opening stand between Skipper Rahul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane had often laid a solid foundation which is the key formula for Royals success. Hard hitters like Shane Watson, Brad Hodge and young Sanju Samson played some match winning performance in the IPL 2013 games.
Watson, Faulkner and Shaun Tait will be the key bowlers to watch. In form, all-rounder Ashok Menaria could certainly support the bowling department.
Commenting on the match Skipper Rahul Dravid said, “Yes, Sachin is a great player and we have played against each other and also as team mates but I feel that there is nothing important in this match. It should be seen as a match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians only.”
