Dubai, Sep 5 (): Riding on the grand success of Chennai Express, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has begun shooting for director Farah Khan’s Happy New Year in Dubai.
The shooting of SRK’s Happy New Year kicked off in Dubai on September 1. The other actors of the film Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani and Sonu Sood have also started shooting for the film from September 1. SRK’s Chennai Express co-star Deepika Padukone also arrived in Dubai on Monday (September 2) for the shoot.
After witnessing his movie Chennai Express smashing all the box office records, Shah Rukh Khan is teaming up with Farah Khan. The actor has worked with the director in Om Shanti Om six years back.
It can be also said that the Happy New Year team is a the reunion of the hit Om Shanti Om trio comprising director Farah Khan and actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The team along with the other star cast will be in Dubai until September end and will be seen in several locations across the city including Dubai Mall’s ice rink and Terminal 1, Dubai airport.
Having been in the film industry for over two decades, Shah Rukh Khan says an actor’s life in India is all about jumping from one work commitment to the other. Shah Rukh Khan, who has often called himself a workaholic, has given hits like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kal Ho Naa Ho.
“I think that an actor’s life in İndia is best described by the game Hop Skip and Jump. Hop on a film…Skip normal life & Jump to the next!” Shahrukh Khan tweeted.
On Wednesday morning, director Farah Khan tweeted, “4th Day of shoot n iv already lost my voice! Sounding like a cross btween Raza murad n amrish puri..”.
The director also tweeted about the fantastic crowd of Dubai. “What a Fantastic crowd in Dubai.. shoots with us all day without a complaint and without hassling any actor..Thank you!” Farah Khan tweeted.
